Rossignol Experience 84 Ai W – 2022 + Bindings
$249.99
For 2020, the Rossignol Experience 84 Ai W remains unchanged. And for good reason. This ski was enormously successful last season, as it appealed to a huge range of skiers with various ski abilities and backgrounds. As a result, Rossignol is bringing it back in the hopes of hooking even more skiers with their versatility, poise, and ease of use. Built with a composite wood core with basalt laminates, the skis are light and quick. Rossignol added the Line Control Technology (LCT) in ABS form to decrease vibrations and increase fore-aft stiffness. By adding a vertical strip of ABS plastic, Rossignol stiffens the ski without weighing it down with metal laminates. Once you start slapping metal laminates in these skis, you start alienating a huge portion of the ski population. At 84 mm underfoot, the skis are getting to the point of a pure front-side ski, but they still do have all-mountain capabilities. The tip and tail rocker allow for some flotation in the softer snow, and the Air Tip VAS lightens the swing weight to make the ski maneuverable and quick in the bumps and trees. Our testers were fans of the quickness and stability of the skis, and all recognized the intended market and audience of these skis.
Description
- Paulownia Wood Core – Paulownia Wood is 30% lighter than average, offering a compromise between agility, control, and power.
- All-Terrain Rocker – Adapted for every terrain and snow conditions, Rossignol’s new All-Terrain Rocker profile delivers a more balanced blend of hard snow precision and soft snow playfulness. The longer, more progressive tip and early rise tail profiles are adjusted across each model, delivering more targeted all-terrain performance and the freedom to excel in all conditions.
- LCT (Line Control Technology) – An evolution of World Cup racing innovation, Rossignol’s patented new LCT construction harnesses pure power and energy, delivering fluid stability in all conditions. Featuring a central “Power Rail” integrated from tip-to-tail, LCT eliminates counter-flexing of the ski to ensure consistently smooth stability and dynamic control of your line.
- LCT HD Core Ai – Specifically developed around groundbreaking new LCT technology, HD Core Ai is a new high-density core that is lighter and more stable than traditional poplar. It provides optimum absorption and enhanced stability, making it ideal for mixed snow conditions and changing terrain.
- Rectangular Sidewalls – Rectangular Sidewall constructions feature a horizontal layering of core materials (wood, fiberglass, metal, etc.) combined with full-length vertical sidewalls to deliver optimized edge grip, precision, balance, and power.
- Progressive Sidecut – Progressive sidecut creates the perfect shape for a playful, fluid feel that drifts, smears, and carves through all terrain and snow.
- Air Tip VAS – Air Tip VAS lightens swing weight and absorbs initial impacts, delivering pure snow contact and control. The integrated visco dampener filters terrain shocks, calming and stabilizing the ski for concentrated energy and cleaner power transfer.
