If you’re a hard charging directional freerider, there’s a good chance the Mantra has been on your radar for a while now. But if not, it’s time for some introductions. The Völkl Mantra 102 Skis have the soul of an old school ripper, with a stout titanal frame offering fall line shredding dampness and rigidity, a versatile 3D Radius sidecut, and a solid in-betweener 102 mm width. As long as they are being driven hard, there really isn’t a situation these skis don’t shine in. They’re a tried and true weapon that continues to be an excellent daily driver for high level skiers everywhere.
Description
- Tip & Tail Rocker – Bends up only in the shovel and tail zones, with a camber shape in the middle.
- 3D Radius Sidecut – Three radii in one ski for maximum turning and speed versatility in all mountain skiing: long at the tip and tail and shorter underfoot.
- Multi Layer Woodcore – The combination of beech and poplar results in an extremely durable wood core composed of hard wood in the binding area and lighter wood surrounding it.
- Titanal Frame – A Titanal Frame with a thickness of 0,7 mm is integrated along the sidewall and into tip and tail area of the ski. This way the ski provides the stability and dampening that every experienced skier expects, at the most critical spots on the tip and tail of the ski. A second thinner Titanal layer (0,3 mm) under the binding delivers the necessary strength to the ski.
- Full Sidewall – Full length sidewalls provide optimal power transmission for the length of the ski.
- P-Tex 2100 Base – A sintered high-density and high molecular polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability.
